T he idea for the performance was born as a protest against violence, long-standing stress, fear and guilt currently experienced – consciously or not – by Belarusian citizens. It is an invitation to imagine being arrested in Belarus, the physical experience of lawlessness, unlawfulness and outrage experienced by tens of thousands of civilians. Igor Shugaleev is a participant of Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute’s Art Residence Programme for artists from Belarus.
