The repertoire of this extraordinary concert is based on contemporary arrangements of ancient Greek music – works dating back to the early days of the CHOREA Theatre. These compositions are raw, primal, yet incredibly vibrant. Their rhythmic intensity and vocal expression evoke echoes of the origins of European culture – echoes of centuries-old sounds that still resonate with listeners today. The Cooperative Choir Concert is a manifestation of community, openness, and the strength born of being together in music.

The concert is the result of over a year of work by the ensemble, which was born from a passion for singing together. Initially a loose and open group of enthusiasts, it has gradually evolved into a thirty-person choir, ready to tackle exceptionally challenging and rarely performed musical material.
