Estonian theater producer, director, and curator. A graduate of the Department of Cultural Studies at Tallinn Pedagogical Institute, he has been involved in theater for over three decades. In the 1990s, he worked as an actor in various Estonian theaters. Since 2000, he has been the head of the R.A.A.A.M. theater, where he has produced over 60 productions. He is the founder and artistic director of two important institutions in the Estonian performing arts world: R.A.A.A.M. (2000) and the international performing arts center Vaba Lava (2010). He initiated and curates the Freedom Festival (since 2021) and was one of the curators of the Oslo International Festival 2025. His productions and projects have been presented at dozens of festivals around the world – from Germany, Norway, and Turkey to Australia, Nepal, Iran, Canada, and Chile.
