In “Voices of New Belarus”, the playwright tells the true story of the victims of Lukashenka’s repressions. Out of 700 authentic accounts of persecuted people, he chose a dozen. Unusually, he presents unedited accounts featuring first and last names of victims, and the result is not just a theatrical play, but also a historical testimony. “Sometimes the truth only needs to be said,” Kuriejczyk explains. – This text is a collective confession of a nation that has been trampled, raped, and insulted.”
